Purchasing Agent

Electropneumatic S.A. is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our procurement team in a dynamic marine technical services company. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiation and purchasing materials, spare parts and electrical – mechanical equipment for vessels, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure marine-related materials, spare parts and equipment based on vessel and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufactures worldwide.
• Evaluate vendor offers, negotiate pricing, delivery terms and payment conditions.
• Issue purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate closely with the technical department and the warehouse-logistics team.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory planning.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing/ procurement job position, preferably in the maritime industry or a technical sector.
• Strong knowledge of marine spare parts and technical equipment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and excellent knowledge of the technical terminology.
• Multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Time and priority management due to the deadlines.
