The 1785-L60C15 module is an Allen-Bradley manufactured ControlNet module equipped with a processor. The module should be kept away from electrostatic discharge because it and the processor are highly sensitive to static. It is a Series D device which runs with 5 Volts DC voltage. The module runs with backplane current of 3 Amps. It is compatible with Allen-Bradley PLC 5 devices. The ControlNet network is an industrial high-speed link which lets the PLC processor and I/O device exchange data and information between each other. The PLC 5 processors are equipped with a ControlNet port which is used to connect to the ControlNet network. The 1785-L60C15 module comes with status indicator which shows the operational status of the link module. The module is UL-listed and it comes with a CE mark. The device has been certified to be used in Class 1 Division 2 rated environments and with the T4A temperature code.
The 1785-L60C15 module comes with network address switches which can be changed by using a small screwdriver. The module has a RJ 45 connector on its rear side which is used for networking and connectivity. Along with the network, it has an input power supply port and a display port. The module can be easily connected with a personal computer over the serial network. A computer can be used to configure the module by using the RSLogix 5000 software. A PS/2 port is available which can be used to connect a peripheral device like a keyboard and mouse. The 1785-L60C15 module is equipped with a battery which powers different components of the module. This variant comes with revised Firmware version E.2.
