What is Ship’s Viewer Platform used for?
It provides for ship’s operators and managers remotely, real-time, online, digital and visual ship intelligent monitoring and management technical – operated data which help them for the evaluation of vessel’s operational performance considering that:
- Maritime operations demand meticulous attention to operational efficiency and compliance with environmental and marine regulations issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), National and International Regulations (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Regulations (EU MRV and UK MRV), IMO DCS, attained Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) and CII requirements – Carbon Intensity Indicator and CII rating, SEEMP Part III (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan), etc.

How It works?
The Electropneumatic’s Professional Ship Viewer Platform (SVP) is a trustworthy Marine Technology, developed to provide real time monitoring and visualization Vessel’s operational parameters. It is a Programmable Electronic System (PES)/Computer-Based System (CBS) based on IoT technologies in order for transferring data, without human intervention, via the on board existing communication infrastructure to a shore based secure cloud server.
Thus, Shipowners and the authorized users can access, via web, the system’s collective data in order to analyze Vessel’s operational parameters. Through the system the users can collect data such as (indicatively):

The system in order to collect data is well interconnected to all the on board systems (Alarm and Monitoring System, Fuel Consumption Systems, Manoeuvering Systems, Steering Gear Systems, etc), the on board sensors -instruments (anemometer, torque meter, Engine loader, flow meters etc) as well as to bridge navigation devices (AIS, Speed Log, Gyro Compass. GMDSS Devices, etc.).
Software data storage for as long as the user wishes.
User-friendly interface. Electropneumatic’s SVP provides fully customized dashboards, including interactive mimics, virtual instrumentation, sophisticated trends, readable charts, and trigger alerts based on user setup. Historical data is valuable for tracking conditions.
Cyber Security System: Security arrangements are provided to prevent unintentional or unauthorized access to functions or alteration of configuration, programs or data by unauthorized personnel.

Vessel fuel consumption data & records can be sent to Headquarters, by installing two databases, one aboard and one on shore with or without the need of cloud service.
Combination with EEXI power limitation on-screen notification, as long as a torque meter on vessel’s tail shaft is installed.
Self-monitoring function that presents an alarm at the touchscreen stations whenever any incorrect operation or abnormal condition occurs.
Easily expandable: The system is easily expandable when needed via added modular units.
System’s Lay Out
The Electropneumatic’s Professional Ship Viewer Platform for the real time collection and exchange of data is built up with the following main units:
- Collecting and Processing Cabinet. Electropneumatic’s Software Application that integrates data received from various Vessel’s Systems – Devices has been installed given to this unit computing capabilities. It collects data from its environment, and communicates data over the web.
- HMI display: Data received from various Vessel’s Systems – Devices can be managed through a graphical user interface.
All the above units are built-up with state-of-the-art and asbestos‐free components (CPU’s, I/O Modules, HMI, etc.), which are constructed by well-known manufacturers, suitable for the intended use, furnished with Marine Certificates (DNV-GL, Lloyds Register, ABS, etc.) and they shall be in the market for the next years.
